Purchased MG 24 RTR RC Boat NIB for less than $100 on Ebay and have about $100 in motor/esc. $200 total cost for a brushless beast not including LiPo battery.

1st runs, Proboat Miss Geico 24" RTR RC boat upgraded from 15T 2200kv brushed DC to 3,500kv Brushless. Running on Venom 2S 5A 30C LiPo. 
5 Minutes upside down after flip @ 3:15 mark.
20+ minute runs, motor and esc run cool (Brushed ran hot on LiPo).

Needs adjusting for hop and an upgraded rudder and drive to handle the increased power and RPM. 
Likely will use the following MG 29 parts:
PRB4105 Strut and Mounts
PRB4106 Rudder

Couldn't get the boat to perform well on LiPo but its still fun on NiMH once you learn how to run it underwater.
It does take on some water after a while and I wouldn't risk ruining a LiPo but don't mind dunking it with a NiMH.

Dynamite 1200mah NiMH & Traxxas 2200mah LiPo performance comparison.
LiPo was a little faster but had much better run times. The motor & ESC temps reached 140 deg F on LiPo though.
This will soon be upgraded brushless, motor options at end of video.

Have all the parts for the upgrade now just need to do it.

1st attempt at dual picture in picture (PIP) with iMovie iOS on iPhone. Create a PIP video clip, save & export it, then import that into a new iMovie project and add the other PIP. No way that I saw to set the length of the PIP clips without drag trimming so the video legths are slightly different on each PIP but overall it didn't turn out bad.

Used youtube - Video Manager - Annotations to add the clickable links to the PIPs and Text.

Proboat Blackjack 29 1st LiPo Run, Steering Fail.

First Run on LiPo batteries. Two Venom 2s 5400mah wired in series for 4s. Boat was plenty fast enough but had very little steering at high speed. Not sure if this is a programming/adjustment issue or just an issue with single offset rudders on high performance brushless boats. Our MG24 BL mod with U joint turns on a dime (although U joint will likely break soon).
